So many women today strive to alter their appearance through cosmetic surgery and alteration. It seems so fake to me and I was just wondering why people do it. Shouldn’t people accept themselves as they are? There is no need for botox, collagen, or silicone. It seems kinda disgusting.

Just wondering how the rule book approaches cosmetic surgery.

Males always emphasize the need for females to have large breasts and sizeable butts. Women, the world over, are having cosmetic surgery trying to live up to this standard. What if females become as adamant and as obsessive about size as we? If males with small to medium penises are seen as turnoff to women, will they begin spending billions on penile enlargement? Why is it good for the goose but not the gander?
Men often compensate by lifting weight, but only the right muscle will satisfy in bed. Not every man has requirements for famales, but the majority does. Plastic surgery is a multi-billion dollars business.

(HealthDay News) — Women who undergo cosmetic breast augmentation surgeries are three times as likely to commit suicide as those who don’t have surgically enhanced breasts, a new study finds.
The increase in suicide risk does not emerge until about 10 years or more after women receive the implants, the research shows.
This latest study adds to a growing body of research finding that women with cosmetic breast implants are much more likely to take their own lives, said study lead investigator Loren Lipworth, a senior epidemiologist at the International Epidemiology Institute in Rockville, Md.
There’s nothing about the breast implant itself that leads to increased likelihood of suicide, added Lipworth, who is also an assistant professor of preventive medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. “Some women who get them are more likely to have psychiatric problems leading to suicide,” she speculated.
My questions are:
Do you think that these women may have body image and self-esteem issues that can not be rectified, but instead become intensified, by the breast augmentation?
Should women who wish to undergo breast augmentation be evaluated for any underlying mental health issues?

I had vaginal plastic surgery overseas. It turned out to be a nightmare, completely botched and it’s painful. I just got back to the States and have been seeing good doctors. Anywyas, I’m too embarrassed to tell my partner I had this type of surgery. I won’t be able to have sex in 2-4 months. What excuse can I come up, like some sort of temporary illness to avoid sexual intercourse? your anwers will be GREATLY appreciated.
And an advice for those women who are thinking about getting cosmetic surgery down there and anywhere else: please do an extensive research. Just because a Doctor is a member of the national plastic surgeons board doesn’t mean they can’t screw up. Be very communicative and clear in the beginning. Show photographs, insists on been examined before and after, make sure there’s hygiene, make sure everything is good and follow your intuition too.

I watched a story on a local TV news program the other night about women who got 50,000 in plastic surgery done by going on the internet requesting people to send her money for the plastic surgery/cosmetic enhancements! and people funded her surgery no strings attatched! This woman wanted the surgery for vanity reasons only she did not have any birth defect etc.
Im intrigued to know why people would send money to a stranger simply to help them to look asthetically pleasing.
Is this practice common? Is it legal in Australia? anyone here either requested money for boob jobs/ lipo etc or has anyone ever sent money to a random person for these purposes? ( if so I will take donations lol).

I was reading in the NY Metro subway paper about women who are getting cosmetic surgery to make their butts rounder. The reason for this is because of the current style such as skinny jeans. They want to look good in these current trends. Is it me or is this the most ridiculous thing ever?

I’ve read a lot of Italian women get their eyes “slanted” by cosmetic surgery like a lot of Asians get the double eyelid surgery. What’s the name of this surgery and where are some before and after photos? Where can it be performed in the USA? How much does it cost? Please post info. Thanks.

I know the jehovah’s witnesses say that their religion makes it a rule for them to not tattoo or pierce their bodies.
Recently some jehovah’s witnesses rang my doorbell and when I answered the door there were 2 women. One of the ladies was in her mid 30′s and her breasts were surgically stacked higher than Pamela Anderson in her prime. I know for a fact that the lady that I saw had surgically enhanced, unnatural breasts, because I have seen in person with clothes on and clothes off, and touched and felt enough real and fake breasts to be able to tell the difference. I also have some friends that are girls with fake breasts, and I have a friend who is a board certified plastic surgeon who has told me all the ways you can tell if a girl has surgically enhanced breasts. The jehovah’s witness lady that I saw definitely paid money for some doctor to blow up her body.
