This study was conducted by Professor Hung-Fat Tse, William MW Mong Professor in Cardiology and Academic Chief of the Cardiology Division in the Department of Medicine, Queen Mary Hospital, The University of Hong Kong and his team.
The study has shown that isoflavone, which is found in various beans and peanuts, makes stroke patients’ arteries work better.
Strokes occur when parts of the brain shut down because of problems with blood supply.
The research was published online in the European Heart Journal.
