I Need Help Fixing My Conclusion For My Paper On Cosmetic Surgery Becoming Addictive?
If you have any suggestions please let me know.
Here is my thesis:
Women and teens feel badly about themselves when they see celebrities and models that look prettier than they are. They may know the risks associated with the surgery, granted that they still have the surgery only caring about how they feel and look.
And here is the conclusion that I have written but I need some help with changing it a bit.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, women and teens know the risks involved with having cosmetic surgery and still have it anyways to satisfy them. They look at the television for comfort knowing that the models and celebrities have had it and it look so easy.
Women and teens know the risks involved with having cosmetic surgery and still decide to have it anyway. They only want to satisfy their needs. They look at the television and ads for comfort, knowing that they see other people on the TV that have had the surgery. They make it look so easy and with little to no pain. Many Americans are idolized on perfection so, they then turn to cosmetic surgery to get that perfection. Staying in shape and taking good care of yourself can do wonders on a person’s appearance more successfully then cosmetic surgery could. Many people can become addicted to the surgery because they think that they have to look a certain way to be accepted and don’t stop until they like everything that they see in the mirror.

That is a big or broad question, is CS (cosmetic surgery)addictive? Any “thing” can be addictive, regarding CS, yes it could be providing the moneys hold up, it is a cash up-front business/practice and expensive. Secondly, and more importantly, if one has unrealistic expectations of what the results of the procedure will be and how it will AFFECT their life. i.e. if I have my facelift, I will be able to get that acting part and become rich and famous! If they couldn’t do it prior to the procedure, not much chance of the procedure turning them into a better actor. (Patient syas to the doctor, “Dr. will I be able to play the piano after the procedure!?” after a short pause the doctor answer, “Hmm, were you able to play BEFORE the procedure?”) The surgeon works with what is already there, he is not GOD and there is no magic wand. If the person considering surgery is counseled properly it should not happen, not to say it does not happen. It happens that people undergo surgery that should not have, at least until they understand what the procedure can and cannot do, realistically.
You are correct, proper daily living, diet and exercise, will do wonders for ones self esteem. The two should be done in unison, for best results (patient participation-diet and exercise and doctors surgery).
In a nutshell, if done for the right reasons and with realistic expections (and of course, the right surgeon) it should not be addictive and have positive results. Small addition to that would be, after all the swelling and bruising subsides the patient is ecstatic about her appearance, she /he feels more in balance – the “outside” (appearance) now matches how she/he feels on the “inside”(mentally). Then she says, “okay, that was easier than I thought, what can I do next?” That also happens.
Hope that helps a little, because it is a subject that can go on and on…..
The one and only!, Last year my best friend got cosmetic surgery and she’s really happy with the results. In my state a there are certain cosmetic surgeons that are better than others. I’d consult cosmetic surgeons in your area and see before and after pictures. http://www.plasticcosmeticsurgerycenter…. They should be able to answer your questions.
