Non-denominational. Interesting subject because we all do things to enhance our appearance (at least I hope we do!), so it’s a question of drawing the line. What about makeup, hair coloring and bleaching our teeth?
As with most things, I fall on the side of liberty. It’s not good to be obsessed with looks, but understandable that people want to look better. And what if somehow we knew that it was absolutely wrong to have breast enlargement? She should still be welcomed at church and not looked down upon. Because I want to be accepted in spite of all my weaknesses, so she should.

I am not aware of any religion which absolutely forbirds cosmetic surgery. The only issue to be seen with cosmetic surgery is in terms of vanity or pride. As cosmetic surgery is done to improve ones looks, religion tries to teach us the most important self-improvement is internal as external is superficial.

I’m muslim so I cant quote the Bible, but changing our bodies for vanity is sinful and all such desires are said to be from Satan. We should appreciate what God has given us. Its ok to enhance certain features like doing eyebrows, or waxing(bikini and underarm waxing are actually preferred for cleanliness), because they are not permanent. Cosmetic surgery for serious medical reasons, is ok, like my aunt’s hand was all burnt because of cancer and the skin had to be replaced or sth(sorry dont know the details).

It’s not what the person has done it’s there motive behind it.
Some people really need to rectify something physically sometimes it is for something deeper that needs to be addressed on that level.
Each case is different. Can’t be judged as a whole.

When most religions were being established cosmetic surgery wouldn’t have been available so it wouldn’t have been something that was decided upon or discussed because it wasn’t around at the time. I think its a personal choice but I guess most religions look down on vanity

First only one religion uses the bible.
Second when the bible was written there was no such thing as surgery,

I’m an atheist; I have a tattoo and I’ve had my athetits done. It’s wonderful to be free, to not impose more rules and regulations on myself than the government already does.

Vanity is one of the seven deadly sins.

This is not an issue with religious beliefs… if a barn needs painting, well then, paint it.
