Would Bad Teeth Cause Cancer Of The Lymph Nodes??
growing up i never took that great of care of my teeth.
about a month ago i found a lump on the bottom back right side of my head ( people said you have lymph nodes there ? ) anyways, could that be the reason for me getting it? if i even do? i’ve been to the doctor and he said it was just a fatty tissue but its gotten bigger since then, so im pretty sure its something bad, what else could it be ?? im only 18 if that helps any.
lymph nodes swell when you have infection. So, if your teeth are infected, then that could be why your lymph nodes are swollen. Or you could have a sinus infection or an ear infection, and have swollen lymph nodes in that area.
Cancer is something else entirely and is not caused by infection, necessarily.
Lymph node cancer is a misnomer. There is lymphoma, which is cancer of the lymphatic system, and then there are, of course, all kinds of cancer, any of which can be spread through the lymph nodes.
I wouldn’t be overly concerned, but you ight want to go have it checked out again if it is getting bigger. Tell the dr. that you are concerned and would feel better if you could have it biopsied or be referred to someone who can do that, if he can’t.
Personally .. my nodes come up always when i need to have a filling.. bacteria e.t.c…. So my answer is that i dont think you can get cancer but you can inflame the lymph nodes as they are trying to fight infection and bacteria.. thats their job.
