My daughter had a Marlyn bridge done in June. Cost was $1,600. Cost high because she had to get the two side teeth filled in a little so the tooth was not too big. She said no discomfort or pain. The tooth was cemented in the sides of the other teeth. It looks great. The dentist did an awesome job, you wouldn’t know it looks perfect. Regular brushing unable to put floss in between the teeth where it was cemented. If the tooth does come out then she would go back to have it recemented which would cost approx. $100.00. My agreement with her is that because she did not want to have the implant done, and gets the bridge done I will pay initial cost and if it falls out she is responsible to pay to have put back in. She works as is almost 18 years old. She can handle that.
The reason this was done was she did not have an adult tooth on the bottom front. After her braces came off she had to be fitted immediately for the bridge so her teeth would not shift. I have thousands invested in her teeth. She takes excellent care of them.
I have bridges upper & lower..I rec’d them from a college dental clinic, & can’t remember the exact cost..They work well because I had teeth to anchor them too. They are made of stainless steel & easy to manage. I think that when most dentists look into you mouth they see images of a Mercedes or something else quite expensive..If you have missing teeth..get some estimates..You need a nice set for appearance’s sake as well as being to eat normally. You have to swish & swallow or hit a wash room after eating. but they are worth the trouble.
I have two bridges
didnt hurt but I was under deep intravenous sedation
it doesnt feel any different and you don’t have to take care of it any differently to the rest of your teeth
