you could teach her, she should see you do it, then hand her a little toothbrush with some edible toothpaste, if she doesnt do the job by herself help her with gentle moves, after a while she will want to do that

If she won’t brush then you have to do it for her. Try getting a musical toothbrush and some fun toothpaste. Since she won’t do the brushing that means you have to do it for her. Also when you take her for her NEXT 6 month dentist appointment have the dentist and the hygenist talk to her about the importance of brushing etc.

This is a very critical time of when kids start to get germs that can cause cavities. The better her hygiene the less chance of future cavities. Also, studies show that kids patterns of cavities can follow their parents b/c the germs are past from them. If your mouth is cleaner hers will be.
Maybe just give her the brush randomly and see if she likes it. Get some decent tasting kids toothpaste to attract her. Singing songs helps. If she watches you brush, maybe she’ll want to copy you. Or just do as fast as you can while her mouth is open.
I would use a “smear” of fluoride toothpaste once a week to help fight cavities, also have her drink tap water which has fluoride everyday. If you use fluoride toothpaste more than once a day there is a mod risk of fluorosis of her permanent teeth, staining strips, but that’s about it. Good luck.

my little brother is a little over 16 months and he loves brushing his teeth! when his mom starts brushing her teeth he kicks, screams, and yells for his toothbrush. just give her the tooth brush and let her bite and chew on it. it gets her familar to it. dont force her to. once she starts getting to know it then she’ll probably start brushing more and more.

you have to make it into a game. Try a musical toothbrush or one with a character she likes. Also try bubble gum flavored toothpaste or the clear infant/toddler toothpaste with little bear on it. Brush her teeth for her and allow her to brush as well. Have her watch you brush your teeth and make it seem fun. Tell her you enjoy it and smile a lot. Let her pick out her toothbrush or toothpaste at the store.
