Yes, I never believed this until my dentist explained to me about Sonicare Toothbrushes! It is a WISE investment for your oral hygiene!!!
Floss at least 1x day, flossing does more than dislodge food from your teeth, it actually dislodges the plaque and tartar buildup between our teeth. Brush at least 2x’s a day for 2 minutes. I didn’t know how long 2 minutes really was until I got my Sonicare – it has an auto timer so you know when to move to the next quadrant in your mouth. The rapid vibrations of the toothbrush also massage the gums – and the angle the the tooth brush enables you to get behind the back molars.
Always brush after eating sugary sweets, if you can’t get to a place to brush then chew sugarless gum after eating.
Drink lots of water!

Hi
just ask your dentist what you should do , I know is frustrating I just got a crowned last month and still under observation to have root canal sometime, every time i visit my dentist I’m always worried what would be the next problem occur . I know how you feel about cavities same way as me but since my dentist put fillings on my teeth stop hurting I have it for almost 8 years now but if your teeth still hurting I suggest to have root canal to stop the pain and toothaches. They will cut the nerves connected to your tooth and root canal is not that bad so don’t worry they will numb your gum won’t feel anything in the process.

well first off brush em:p and listerine is really only good for your gums…it helps against gingavitus. uhm also you can get a special coating for your teeth to help protect em against cavities.i got it and i’ve never had a cabity EVER.;)

There’s really not.
They know which specific strains of bacteria cause tooth decay, they know its contagious, they know that if you have that bacteria its very likely you will have decay no matter how much you take care of your teeth, and they know that if you don’t have that bacteria you can live on sugar and never brush and probably never have cavities.
They know that if you have more biofilm but they aren’t sure why some people have more than others. They know that the pH of your saliva can have an effect, and that some people just have stronger enamel.
Dentists know, or ought to know all of this, and yet they persist in the myth that cavities are all the patients fault -probably because they know they can’t directly treat ANY of the contributing factors I just described.http://ochealthinfo.com/newsletters/phbu...
Dental caries is an infectious, communicable, multifactorial disease in which bacteria dissolve the enamel surface of a tooth. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/bv.fcg...
It should be noted that dental caries is an infectious, communicable disease resulting in destruction of tooth structure by acid-forming bacteria found in dental plaque, an intraoral biofilm, in the presence of sugar.http://www.contemporaryoralhygieneonline...
Caries is a multifactorial disease. While creating an environment for health is laudable, it is not the only answer. If a person went to a physician with bronchitis, the doctor wouldn’t insist the patient fly to a destination with purer air or breathe purified oxygen from a tank. The physician would most likely apply a medical intervention that would affect the bacterial cause of the infection and encourage better airway hygiene. In dentistry, as a way to affect the disease of caries, we are guilty of this type of illogic. We look to eliminate the foods that allow the bacteria to flourish. Sugars are often identified as the main source of nourishment for cariogenic bacteria, and patients are often instructed to avoid sugars

I also have lots of problems with my teeth. Honestly I think genetics can play a role in that because my dad has always had problems with his. Brush your teeth twice a day, floss regularly and make sure to see your dentist. I like to use toothpaste with enamel strengthener in it. It should help the best in fighting cavities in people with soft enamel (which is what I have). Good luck and hope this works for ya!

Wow, I had the very same problem not too long ago! I recently had a big cavity filled. Since I was so tired of my dentist saying I had all this decay, I boned up and flossed every single day (though I have missed some days here and there, but I am much better!). I also rinse with ACT to help strengthen my teeth. It has fluoride, which is supposed to help your teeth stay strong against decay.
I’d say, keep up with your brushing at least 2x a day, floss once everyday, and try rinsing with ACT or Crest Restorative Rinse.
Good luck!

I heard that chewing on cheese helps to counter act the harmful effects of certain bacteria. If I’m out and don’t have toothbrush or rinse with me I just eat a piece of cheese if one is readily available. Oh man, I feel your pain. I have had my share of cavities. The last time I got them filled I was pregnant and bellowed like a camel because they had to drill with no Novocaine. It was terrible. And the tooth dust from the drill smelled like dried feces and made me nauseaus. I try to take better care of my pearly whites now! Good luck!

I hated flossing, always slipping out ofyour hands and stuff, so I got these picks that already have flossed pre tied on them, it looks like a wishbone or fork, with a string going across the tips, and it makes it so much easier and faster to clean your teeth, and the package of 30 cost me 2$.
Good investment!

How do you know you still have the cavities? Is there a cheese like substance oozing out of them? If so, you have what is knows as Camel’s Mouth. This disease occurs when you are constantly around things with an ungodly odor, like dead animals or feces. Do you own any pets or work in an animal shelter? If so, this is most likely the cause. To fix the problem, stop sniffing dogshit. Good luck!

You need to go to the specialty store and get a camel haired tooth brush. They are the best for getting that cheese out from between your teeth. Make sure you brush for three minutes getting all surfaces. The next step is the most important, you MUST dip your toothbrush in bleach. It kills all of the germs on the brush. If you skip that step, you might as well be brushing your teeth with feces because of all the germs.

Don’t mind all the cheesy answers. They mean well, they really do – I would go the route of some voodoo, myself – Your local home hardware store should stock manure; Look for the camel feces bag. Light it on fire, do a little dance,(make sure to stand a fair distance away,) and scream “CA-VI-TIEEEEES.” You should be good after that.

i have bad’ teeth as well. The number one thing you must always do is floss, its actually possibly more important than brushing. flossing helps keep food away from the teeth. sugars and salts that are just sitting ontop of the teeth cause cavities. make sure you brush TWO times a day AND FLOSS 2 times a day. get regular cleanings every 6 months. this should do the trick

OMG! Halo Pwns?June 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

FLOSS! BRUSH YOUR TEETH THROUGHLY AT LEAST (IN MY OPINION 3 TIMES A DAY; 1 after breakfast, 1 after lunch, 1 after dinner.) MAKE SURE YOUR USING TOOTHPASTE AND IT COVERS THE ENTIRE BRUSH ON THE TOOTHBRUSH. AVOID SODA! AVOID FOOD THAT MAKES YOU FAT! AND DEFENITELY, AVOID CHOCOLATE AT ALL COSTS!

JilibeanJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

Here’s what you need to do. Milk your camel. With that milk, make some cheese. It’s great for teeth! Make sure you don’t get any feces into the mix. Your teeth will be like new in no time! Little known secret, but it works!

Fluorescent Grow LightJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

If you stick a piece of cheese in your mouth at night, it actually helps produce helpful acid in the mouth that will ward off cavities!! Its true, go look it up. Otherwise your breath is going to stink like camel feces. Good luck!

Shr PJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

Rigor Mortis HypnoJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

Ok, here is my secret and it works like a charm. After each meal, chew on a piece of cheese. It helps fight plaque. And it wards off camel feces smelling breath. Either that or chew Dentyne.

JessJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

Start flossing also, and look into a better mouthwash-listerine just covers over your breath, doesn’t really do anything for your teeth
Eat healthy

SamJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

brush your teeth for 2 to 3 minutes then use listerine more than once. brush your teeth 3 times a day and listerine 3 times a day. dnt eat to many sweets and eat veggies.

smiley_gJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

you can whiten your teeth with baking soda, it also helps your teeth from decaying.

CicelyJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

Eat less sugar and brush your teeth at least twice a day. If you can afford it, get an electric toothbrush. They do a better job cleaning.

JessicaJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

Stop eating camel feces. Not only does it rot your teeth, it makes your breath smell like limberger cheese.

Glacierkid was violatedJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

In order to not have you breath smell like feces, you need to floss. floss with a camel haor and get all that stink cheese out of there…..

AnonymousJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

Brush your teeth twice a day, eat healthier. Stop drinking all those soft drinks. Definitely slow down on the candy.

LawnmoweJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

If you drink milk before you fall asleep, it rots your teeth over night (im not even joking, look it up)

Bob SJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

dont use too much listerine. brush your teeth after every meal and you should be fine.

alitaJune 27th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

Shr PJune 28th, 2009 at 8:30 am
