Do Cats Need Their Teeth Brushed Regularly?

I asked a girl from work out on a date and we were supposed to meet up. Well anyway just before the agreed time she calls and says she’ll have to cancel, because Friday nights are when she brushes her cats teeth. I was fascinated, I didn’t know cats needed to have their teeth brushed! What kind of kitty dental care kits are available? I want to buy one and surprise her with it. I know she’ll be impressed!

Yes, they should get their teeth brushed.
However, that’s not a very valid reason for canceling a date because it does not take very long. :/ Unless she has several cats or something.
Doesn’t mean she’s not interested, but she may have just been throwing out things others might consider “weird” about her to see if it chases you away before things get serious. I always did the same thing.

LOL! Yes, cats need their teeth brushed and you can find all the supplies at most any pet supply store or vet’s office. I don’t recommend picking up a kit for your date, though. Her excuse for backing out of your date is the equivalent of “Friday night is the night I wash my hair”. I’m afraid she’s just not that into you.

I don’t think it’s very nice that she canceled on you because she had to brush her cat’s teeth. That only takes a few minutes or could hae been done on Saturday morning. But, yes people do brush cats teeth as well as dogs. It’s something that you have to start when they are very young so it becomes routine. Otherwise they are going to bite.

i don’t brush my cats teeth but i do buy them denta bites and there teeth are fine and there really white. i don’t know if the vets agree with brushing cats teeth. denta bites are cat treats that help keep cats teeth clean and strong and they love them

Yes it is a good idea to brush your cats teeth, if they will let you lol
however, she could have done it anyother night so i think it was an exsuce to not go on the date mate !!

Yes, some cats have their teeth brushed. I find it easier to have the vet clean the cat’s teeth every 3-6 months. More expensive, but what is my time worth?
