Question About Teeth Care?

I generally look after my teeth well, brushing regularly. Sometimes Ill use floss and mouthwash. Recently Ive noticed some tiny chips on the bottom of my front two teeth and even though this is normal for a lot of people it got me a bit worried! I drink fizzy drinks and sugary drinks quite often but am starting to cut down, are there any other ways I could keep my teeth healthy as strong?

You need to brush 2x/day and floss daily, and it normally takes about 2 min to adequately brush all surfaces of all teeth (try timing yourself- it’s a lot longer than you probably think).
If you are chipping teeth, you may be grinding/clenching your teeth. If you are, you should ask your dentist to make you a nightguard.
As for other things, fluoride mouthrinses are good, or if you tend to get a lot of cavities, you may need an antibacterial mouthrinse like chlorhexidine or sugarfree gums with xylitol help.
And like you said, cutting down on soda and decreasing snacking on sweets or nursing drinks helps as well.

Chips on your bottom front teeth…sounds like you might be grinding your teeth at night. Maybe you could benefit from a night guard. They are difficult to keep in your mouth at first, but once you get used to them, you won’t be able to sleep without it! It will help from you grinding your teeth down and exposing the dentin.

Make sure to regularly visit your dentist. Avoid brushing your teeth too often (more than 3 times a day) and with a hard bristled brush.
