Question About Wisdom Teeth Surgery, After Care?

I got my wisdom teeth removed yesterday and I am supposed to alternate using ice and “Moist heat” can anyone help me, I don’t mean to sound dumb but I don’t know what moist heat is

Moist heat would be a damp washcloth with a heating pad or microwave hot pack. You should use a damp cloth for the cold as well. The reason for moist: it transmits the temperature better.
