Immediately after you leave the doctor’s office. Perhaps on the ride home if you have a good friend pick you up with some rolling papers and some herb. You’re definitely safer if you smoke weed rather than take the prescriptions they provide you. Hopefully it can provide enough pain releif. Don’t take any of the addictive opiates they prescirbe you!!!! Marijuana is from the earth = good. Synthetic opiates are from man = bad.

Smoking weed smould have the same effect as if you were to smoke cigarettes, although I guess it could be a little bit worse because you might be puffing harder on a joint than you would a cigarette. The risk is that the sucking action will pull the blood clot out or give you “dry socket”. If it’s already been over a week you should be fine, as long as your mouth is not still bleeding & it’s starting to heal. My dentist said to wait 3 days before smoking. If you’re worried, just be careful & try not to draw or suck too hard on anything, including a joint or pipe.

Man all I can say is dont smoke, dont drink through straws, or anything that involves sucking. I didnt do any of this when I got my wisdom teeth out, and I got a serious case of “Dry Socket”. Man that was intense, the good pain pills they put me on just dulled the pain, but wouldnt make it go away. I would be very careful smoking if I were you untill you are sure they are healed well. I would say atleast 2 weeks maybe longer, but I am no dentist. Good Luck

its not the thc thats bad….its the tar and other smoke particles that is bad. i would make some edibles… I once made my own homemade willie nelsons country peach cobbler ice cream! why not kill two birds with one stone. eat soothing ice cream and have an effective pain killer. win/win!

to be safe put a little gauze pad over the site to cover it when you smoke….its slightly annoying but will keep the area clean

Don’t smoke for at least a week and even then your pushing it. Dry socket is not something enjoyable…matter of fact it sucks (i hate punns)…i just had my widoms teeth pulled today and have had other issues in the past with my teeth and dry socket…it kept me awake for three days before i got some demerol from the doctor…make edibles but make sure that they are very soft so you dont have to chew i would also suggest you make thing that dont stale so no cookies or brownies..

Dont smoke 6 days after the surgery i did and then i cleaned my mouth right after. Yea i was stoned but my mouth hurt alot and it a different pain
