yes it is normal to be in more pain it should get better in a couple of days,keep washiing your mouth with salt water

is and it is not normal.After the numb has gone you can feel some pain where the hole are but after root canal the nerve is taken out ,so no pain,maybe some nerve is vital ,go back asap.

rinse with salt water to harden the gum, yes soup is ok with bread put in with it, i normally take ibuprofen this helps with the ache
