Does Tricare Cover Invisalign For Teeth?

im lookin into getting those retaners for your teeth, called invisalign. and i dunno if Tri-Care covers it, can any of you military People answer this for me?

no. Tricare does NOT cover ANY Dental work(unless it is reconstructive due to injury or illness0.. there is a separate insurance for that for dependents that has a monthly fee plus co pays. for AD it is covered under their regular Military doctor. however cosmetic procedures of any type are NOT covered. it would have to be deemed medically necessary.

Time to contact Tri-care for the exact benefit if any…

They might cover a portion of the cost, it’s really hard to say.
Typically, tricare always goes for the cheapest available option. When I got braces, I couldn’t go for anything fancy, I had to get the traditional braces.

My gf is in the army and she has invisaligns… unfortunately no, tri-care does not cover them. She has to pay out of pocket for them. However, on your tax returns, you are allowed to claim them in full as a deductable.
