I had all four of mine pulled a month ago. You have to for several days stick to soft foods, brush you teeth lightly and no biting down. My dentist gave me a prescrip for a mouth wash that speeds the healing process.
Good luck to you.

I feel your pain. And take those prescribed pain killers. If you can, try to stretch them out as long as possible. ie, only use them when you need to or use over the counter non life threating pain killer.
Of course, you can't go wrong doing what the doctor asked you to do. if all goes well, most of the pain goes away in couple days.
Until pain goes away, just relax with some tv. The next couple days there will be allot of pain.
Try Soups, Oatmeal, mashed potatoes, and healthy things. If you can, take vitamins and soy protein so you continue to get vitamins you need for the next week.

Eat soft foods, you do have to have something in your stomach. Try those fruit shakes, they give you energy. Don't eat hard foods until about 4-5 days. You will be a little sore.

Been there, done that. I feel for you, it is so painful too. Mine were impacted when I had mine taken out. The only advice I can give you is what the Dentist said. Gargle, gargle, and gargle.....try some pudding if you can get your mouth open or some jello. I know it took me at least two weeks before I could open my mouth wide enough to eat a piece of bread, and even then it still hurt. Suck on some ice cubes that you put Kool-Aid in and freeze and have someone crush them for you so you can suck on them better. Wishing you all the luck for a speedy recovery.

Well it's going to hurt to eat hard foods for about a week. So I suggest you eat soft foods like soup, yogurt, even ice cream.
You should take 500 mg twice daily for three or four days following the surgery. When you go to the dentist, take a dose of homeopathic arnica 30X dilution (place four to five tablets under your tongue) and repeatadvertisement
this dosage again every hour after the extraction for first four hours and then every two hours to reduce bruising. The next day, take the arnica every four hours. You can discontinue this after the second day.
After the extraction, I also recommend taking bromelain, an enzyme extracted from the fruit of the pineapple plant, to help reduce any swelling. Take 200-400 mg three times a day on an empty stomach (at least 90 minutes before or three hours after eating). To reduce stress that can contribute to pain and slow your recovery, consider mind/body approaches such as progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, and self-hypnosis.
