Wisdom Teeth Removal And No Insurance?

First of all, how much would it cost to have wisdom teeth removed without insurance?
Secondly, can charity care cover dental work? I’m a stay-at-home-mom and don’t have an income and don’t have anyone to pay for it for me.
Third, what (aside from the pain and the movement of other teeth in my mouth, obviously) could happen if I don’t get them removed? I really want to because they are getting to be unbearably painful, but I have to weigh the options right now with money being tight.
Thanks for any advice.

You can easily check your minimal health insurance rates in internet, for example here – health-quotes.talk4fun.net

Most major hospital based dental programs have a dental clinic. You would have to fill out financial aid statements which look at not just income but assets like owning homes or cars. Depending on your circumstances you may qualify for charity care with you being required to pay as little as nothing to as much as 90%. The work is performed by dental residents under the direct supervision of of senior dentists and care should be comparable to any private dentist, except that you will not have a choice of doctors.
Leaving them in if they are impacted may result in the rest of your teeth shifting and can lead to needing extensive corrective dental care down the road. I suggest you at least see what the local dental clinic can do for you before deciding.

I understand you don’t work, however, someone is paying your way. Food, clothing and shelter is coming from somewhere. I assume you are receiving welfare benefits, which includes Medi-care (Medi-cal, Healthy Families, etc.), which includes dental care.
If you are not receiving benefits, then whomever is paying your way, (spouse, or parents) needs to put you on their health and dental plan. If that is not possible, maybe they can float you a loan, until you can get a job to pay them back.

if you don’t get them removed you could cause a serious infection involving your gums/teeth and could either end up hospitalized, or coughing out more money taking care of the infection than you would actually having them taken out.
if you don’t have that much money to spend on it then try going to a school for dentistry because they charge less and the teachers there (whom are real dentist so don’t worry) use that time to help train students as well so they wont charge as much. I don’t know what area you are from but if you are close to the memphis area go to UT Medical Group (that’s the kind of place i’m talking about)
that’s where im going cuz my wisdom teeth are killing me as well but we are broke around here!
